The Role of Exploration in How Object–Location Associations Are Formed for Distractors
This project examines how regularities between scene regions and object locations are formed during naturalistic exploration. We test whether attentional prioritization emerges from experience with distractor–location consistency, even without explicit instruction.
Key questions include:
- How do observers learn spatial regularities across exploration?
- Do these learned associations guide future search behavior?
- How stable are these representations over time?
